Outdoor Service SundayTransformed As summer events soon begin at Transformation Church, we're eagerly anticipating how God will work among us. Our prayer is that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will deepen connection with Jesus and with each other. This will lead us to Christ-like transformation. Our first outdoor service and BBQ is happening on this weekend. These outdoor services are special! We'll be hearing testimonies of transformation—stories of lives changed by Jesus. This weekend we will be joined by Adult and Teen Challenge students as they share stories of their own. Christ is bringing transformation in their lives. Bring a friend who you think would be blessed to hear these stories. Our team will be preparing a hotdog BBQ after the service. I hope you stay! The church doesn't have enough outdoor chairs, so don't forget to bring a lawn chair if you have one.

The KirkpatricksInvite to A BBQ Did you know that Jeff and Mary Kirkpatrick and their boys followed the prompting of the Holy Spirit to relocate from the United States to Canada? They felt a call to live alongside the people of this area and the North. They desired that they might be used by Jesus in sharing the Good News of the Kingdom. If you've noticed, Jeff and Mary have taken this call seriously. They've served at the New Hope Youth Center, traveled to First Nations communities, served in downtown street ministry and have invested themselves in volunteering at Transformation Church. They are inviting you to a BBQ at their house to spend time in prayer, update and celebration. I hope you can make it! |
Transformation ChurchUpdate from Jeremy It is with joy and anticipation that I stepped into the role of Lead Pastor this week. Thank you for graciously welcoming me as pastor over the past few weeks as this decision was being finalized. As you know, the Lord has done much at Transformation Church through the service of many faithful servants. My prayer is that we stand on their shoulders and see the "much more" that the Lord has in store for us. I believe that we will see this happen as we learn to abide with the Father and lean on each other for support and community. Do you think that in the future we might see many of us sent out - like Jeff and Mary - equipped and ready to bless the community of Thunder Bay and beyond? Can you picture a vibrant mid-week youth program? Or traveling north to support or even help launch new gatherings of believers? These are just a few of the “much more” ways I believe God may lead us. But this won’t happen through the efforts of a lead pastor alone—it will happen through us, together, as a community. Speaking of faithful servants, be sure to thank Gene and Caleb when you see them. They’ve worked tirelessly during this interim period, going above and beyond. And they will continue to be part of the life and future of Transformation Church. Oh Lord, let us be transformed for your glory! Transformation Church exists to make passionate disciples of Jesus that will have a significant and lasting impact on the city of Thunder Bay and beyond. With love, Jeremy |

Memo FundraiserMark your Calendar MEMO is a ministry of Grace Evangelical Free Church of Thunder Bay. MEMO’s purpose has been to show the love of God through the provision of redundant hospital equipment and supplies to needy health care facilities. Since 2004, MEMO has shipped over 100 containers to Cuba, El Salvador, Liberia, Nicaragua, Uganda and Zimbabwe, totaling millions of dollars in equipment and saving countless lives along the way. MEMO shipped 2 more ocean containers in May bringing our total to 110 sent over 21 years. This has been God's work all along. We give Him praise and thanks for the community of Thunder Bay, our Christian brothers and sisters, and all the volunteers and donors who have helped to send these desperately needed medical supplies to those in need. |
Be A BereanTax Collector Transformed The outsider becomes the insider. The hated, rejected, shunned business elite becomes a gospel writer. He immediately leaves everything when Jesus calls his name. Little did he know that one day he would pen Jesus' words. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Little did he know he would go on to pen an entire book that would be read and studied by billions of people. Little did he know of the countless lives transformed through his book. Read Matthew 9:9-12, Mark 2:13-17, and Luke 5:27-32 What was it like to be in Matthew’s shoes, to be labeled in society as scum? Why did he follow Jesus? What did it cost him? What kind of transformation came to his life? How might we experience this same kind of transformation? I am eager to worship with you on Sunday! Jeremy |
