TC Family
Hey TC Family, I hope this email finds you well. I hope you are sensing God's presence in your everyday life and becoming increasingly aware of His will as it pertains to your life. Worship and Prayer One week from today (Friday, September 29, 7-9 PM), we will gather at TC for a night of worship and prayer. Our theme is Transformation. As we sing songs of praise and worship to God, we are going to pray for two things mainly: 1. Personal transformation. There will be opportunities to come forward and receive prayer, to seek God for personal healing and transformation. 2. For transformation for others. We all know people who do not yet know Jesus. We will pray for friends, family, loved ones, co-workers. We will pray that God will change the hearts of those He has put on our minds and ask Him to reveal Himself in undeniable ways. Overcomers Spread the word! We are launching the Overcomers ministry on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 7-8:30 PM. This weekly gathering is a safe place to gather and be raw-honest about struggles, challenges, bad habits and addictions as we seek freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit. Volunteer Fair Last Sunday, we held a volunteer fair. Our leadership team felt it would be a good idea to host one more volunteer fair this Sunday after the service to ensure we don't miss anyone. You are invited to join our ministry team leaders in the cafe after the service where you can learn about how to get involved in serving in the ministries of the church. Let's rally together to continue on a trajectory of becoming a church that looks a lot like Jesus! May the Lord richly bless you as you look to Him! Pastor Nathan |
God is Relational
This weekend, read Ezekiel 37, focusing on the last two verses (26-27). Ezekiel's vision of the valley of dry bones coming to life is probably the most famous section of the whole book. Have you ever thought about what that would have looked like? Do you think Ezekiel might have been terrified of what he saw? This vision emphasizes that God can bring dead things to life. It also emphasizes that God desires to live with and among His people. Ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God and were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, mankind has been under a curse. One of the effects of this curse is distance from God, a separation. Humanity has always struggled to know God, to feel His presence, to be confident of His love. Jesus came to break the curse. Through Jesus, God reveals that His desire has always been a relationship. He desires more than religious rules and strict adherence to a moral code; He wants to be in an intimate relationship where conversation is two-way, open and honest. This weekend, Spend time reading the passage from Ezekiel and John 14:7-9, 15:14-16, and 17:3. Come expectant. God is up to stuff. |
