3 Pillars of Peace. Baby Shower for Roman and Lydie. Prayer/Support for Ukraine

Transformation Church
Confusion, Terror and Absolute Peace

3 Pillars of Peace

This week, we will take a deep dive into Daniel chapters 7-12. As I prepared this week's sermon, the content of what I sense the Lord leading me to share shifted significantly. I'm looking forward to sharing with you this Sunday.

In preparation for Sunday, I encourage you to take the time to read Daniel 7-12. This section of Scripture is unique. Daniel is very closely tied to the book of Revelation. Both Daniel and Revelation talk about "the time of the end," or what is popularly known as end times. There is no other place in the Old Testament quite like it.

In this section of Scripture, God reveals a lot to Daniel about the end of the world and the events leading up to that moment. It's confusing to Daniel, terrifying actually. At least nine times in these six chapters, Daniel mentions that he is terrified and overcome by fear.

Amid all the terror and confusion, Daniel experiences the incredible peace of God. And that is what I am planning to zero in on this Sunday. Like hidden gems, there are three pillars of peace tucked into these three chapters that are very applicable to our lives today in 2022. Like Daniel, we can feel afraid and confused at all that is going on in the world around us, and just like Daniel, we can build our life around these three pillars of peace and experience the Shalom peace of God.

I can't wait to worship with you this Sunday at 11 am in person or online!

Prayer/Support for Ukraine

Prayer/Support for Ukraine

This is a message from our National superintendent, Stephen Elliott, about Ukraine:

The Wesleyan Church of Canada is honored to partner with World Hope International (Canada) as our official relief and development arm for our denomination.  Rev. Tanya Nace gives stellar leadership to this world-class, highly effective, and trustworthy organization.

With Ukraine under full attack right now, over half a million refugees have fled the country to friendly surrounding borders, including Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova. Women and children, infants in arms, and the elderly are making long and arduous treks to safety with what little they could carry with them.

As the local and global response to the invasion evolves, World Hope's response is likely to continue to evolve to ensure that basic needs – such as water, food, protection services, and more – are being met and that those who have fled- as well as those who have stayed behind so far, have access to hope and help.

World Hope International is working with global and local partners in response to the invasion of Ukraine and the outflow of refugees into neighboring countries.

If God has prompted you to help out and respond to this emergency, I highly recommend a gift to World Hope's response efforts to the invasion of Ukraine and to help bring hope and help to those impacted.
